Katherine Koutroulakis

OZARK… Mrs. Katherine Melton Koutroulakis, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday afternoon, September 1, 2021, in an Ozark nursing home. She was 78.

Private funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity  Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Birmingham. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 307 19th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35233.

Mrs. Koutroulakis, daughter of Thomas John Melton and Catina Vlahakis Melton, was a native of Selma, Alabama. She moved with her family at an early age to Homewood, Alabama. Mrs. Koutroulakis co-owned and operated Pete’s Famous Hotdogs in Downtown Birmingham before moving to Ozark in 2013. She was a member of Holy Trinity Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church.
