I served in the Marine.

Daleville...It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Lee Hanks announces her passing, on Friday, October 5, 2018, at the age of 65 years.

Carol loved life and had an infectious laugh and beautiful personality. Throughout her life, Carol would always put her loved ones above herself. Carol was extremely proud of her service in the United States Marine Corps and would speak often of her Marine sisters. Carol was also a proud graduate of the University of Phoenix and a great inspiration showing immense determination and drive to achieve her life goals.

Carol was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and will be greatly missed. Carol will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rachel, Lisa, and David (Holli). Carol will also be fondly remembered by her sixteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Carol will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home, 508 Faust Ave, Ozark, Alabama 36360.

Sincere condolences from the members of the Women Marines Association. “If the Army and the Navy ever looked on Heaven’s Scenes, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines.” (3rd stanza of the Marines Hymn). Take comfort in knowing your beloved Marine has left this life to take up her rightful place in Heaven’s detachment.
