Carolyn Kathleen Snellgrove, age 70, died August 10, 2018 at Dale Medical Center, Ozark due to complications from surgery. From her birth in Midland City, Alabama on August 24, 1947 to her death on Friday, Carolyn nourished people around her with love, faith and encouragement. Carolyn was the oldest of four children, learning instruction techniques and child management skills at an early age. She was trained as a nurse and worked as a day care provider to a multitude of children for over 30 years, showing that her mission in life was in service to others. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She was a member of Ozark First Assembly church for over 35 years and taught Sunday School at the Oakview Manor Health Care Center for over 20 years.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Darrell Snellgrove. Left to honor and remember her love are her two children Lee Waller of Ariton, Alabama and Vena Kay Fischer (Tim) of Topeka, Indiana; one grandchild Tina Marie Fischer; two brothers David Phillip Anderson of Decatur, Alabama and Tolton Anderson (Belinda) of Dothan, Alabama; one sister Susan Hardgrave of Huntsville, Alabama; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will remember her light and love.

Visitation services will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, August 11th at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home, 508 Faust Avenue, Ozark, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Mrs. Carolyn was a true friend. She cared about others and let the loving presence of Jesus shine in and through her life. A sweet, gentle spirit, always so gracious and kind, even in times when she was hurting. I thank our LORD for the blessing of knowing her, and for knowing we will meet again, in His sweet Presence.
